•THE Raining Hearts Screen saver 724k (rainhearts.exe). I would describe this screen saver as being beautiful, colourful and lovely, with sound affects of a natural kind of value, bees, butterflies, kites, and of course, raining hearts. This screen saver has been tested in Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000sp4, XP and 32bit Vista.

•COULOURFULEYE Screen saver 458k (ColourfulEye.exe) is a spiraling hypnotic colourful set of circles with a small eye in the middle. There is the option for sound, all though I’d only recommend this setting if you like eery sci-fi movies. Tested only in Windows 2000sp4, Windows XP and 32bit Vista.

•WAR&PEACESIGNSETUP Screen saver 675k (war&peacesignsetup). Some may find this sort of “devil worshippy”, but I think just a nice pentagram type magicky symbol. And hey, why burn the witches, they were a bunch of lovely little ladies. They just liked there animals, that in fact was, in medieval times, one of the main reasons they were labelled witches. Even a young lady with a pet ferret might have led to a law suit in witchcraft around the medieval times. At least that’s what I heard. This screen saver is a black background with a spinning pentagram in green lines, and a few little symbols of various kinds thrown in to spice up the magic. Very kind on the eyes I think. Tried and tested in Windows Xp and 32bit Vista.

•SETUP SQUARE TRANCE Screen saver 786k (Setup Square Trance), exclusively created for Vista but I’ve only tested this one on 32bit Vista. Whilst doodling with my mouse on a regular empty windows desktop, noticing that if you held the left mouse button down and moved it round in circles, a lovely effect of squares appeared. So I put mouse to software and came up with this radiant little saver. Full of colour and shapes I highly recommend this one for Windows Vista.

•COFFEEHEAD Screen saver 351k (coffeehead). Basic screen saver using a very mellow background taken from a Windows background, from ME I think, featuring a cup and saucer of coffee with animations of spinning heads and tumbling mugs of coffee, all flying around the screen making a very mellow eye candy. Mellow as a good cup of coffee, I think. Tried and tested in a variety of windows from Windows 98SE to Me, 2000 sp4, XP and 32bit Vista.

WORD OF WARNING FOR THOSE ENERGY CONCIOUS LASSIES AND GEEZERS: SCREEN SAVERS USE
UP A LOT OF POWER. AN ALTERNATIVE SCREENSAVER TACTIC COULD BE TO TURN THE MONITOR
OFF WHEN NOT IN USE, BUT LEAVE THE COMPUTER ON. THEN JUST TURN ON THE MONITOR WHEN
YOU NEED YOUR COMPUTER WITHOUT HAVING TO WAIT FOR YOUR COMPUTER TO BOOT UP. THIS
WOULD LEAVE A SMALLER CARBON FOOTPRINT AND WITHOUT LIFETIME SHORTENING TACTICS HENCE
TURNING YOUR WHOLE COMPUTER ON/OFF SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. JUST TURN YOUR PC OR MAC
OFF AT NIGHT.
