MY BOOK - “THE GREAT BEAN FIELDS.
This page is the number one reason for my site, as here one can download a copy of my book, “The Great Bean Fields”, in pdf format and for free.
The book is one hundred pages long and has a few pictures that help give you a better grasp of what’s going on. There is an introduction followed by thirteen chapters, corresponding to roughly a seven year psychotic episode that I went through, after being diagnosed as Paranoid Schizophrenic when I was eighteen years old. Themes include suicide, depression, madness, all taken back in a moderately black humorous way. There is also a lot of travelling in various forms, mainly throughout England and Wales. Types of travelling include the power of the thumb (hitch-hiking), motorcycling, and a little bit of plain old automobile. My book also refers to some of the crazy and insane thoughts that were trickling through my mind as I rampaged throughout various forms of dwelling and lifestyle. On arrival and after trying to steal the ambulance during the commotion, without success, and thus seriously pissing off the ambulance driver, I stepped in the door of the hospital and about five psychiatric nurses grabbed me, dragged me upstairs, threw me in a room with boarded up windows, stripped me of all of my possessions and clothing, and injected me with something that rendered me physically and psychologically helpless. You might have said they psychologically raped me; at least that’s what it felt like to me. It seemed like this mad bunch of country yokels, who called themselves psychiatric nurses, were getting away with human rights violations. I didn’t know why they thought I was mad either; I mean, I was keeping myself alive, and I thought I was a bit of a survival expert, with capabilities of lighting a fire for warmth and food. I felt saner than your average civilian. As for hitting out at a few people, some football fans and other similar types do it all the time. Now, though, I see why they did take me in. I was a danger to others and myself.
